Online registration for the Carlisle Downtown mile is now closed. You may register at the Appalachian Running Company from 10 a.m to 7 p.m. today or tomorrow at the start line registration area beginning at 5:30 p.m.
Payment on race day will be cash or check ONLY. No credit cards will be accepted on site.
The 3rd annual Carlisle Construction Materials Downtown Mile will be held Thursday, May 29, 2014 at 6:30 p.m. The certified route will begin just west of the intersection of High Street and Orange Street and will end at Veteran’s Square, near the intersection of High Street and Hanover Street. Proceeds benefit the Employment Skills Center Adult Education and Training Programs.

Packet Pick-up
For your convenience, race packets will be available for pick-up at Appalachian Running Company located at 290 E. Pomfret St. from 10 a.m. - 7 p.m. on Wednesday, May 28th. Packets may also be picked up on race day from 5:00-6:15 p.m. at the race start. Complimentary t-shirts are guaranteed to those who register by 05/14/2014. All participants will receive a packet with flyers and coupons from local merchants.

6:30 p.m. - Just for Fun Mile Walk - Grab your stroller or some friends and enjoy the evening!
6:40 p.m. - 13 & Under - All kids will receive a participation awards medal.
6:50 p.m. - 14 - 19
6:55 p.m. - 20 - 29
7:00 p.m. - 30 - 39
7:05 p.m. - 40 - 49
7:10 p.m. - 50 - 59 & 60 and older
7:20 p.m. - Team Competition - The team challenge heat is made up of teams with 3-5 members. The 3 fastest runners’ times from each team will be used to determine the winning teams.
Awards
Awards will be given out following the race. We encourage everyone to stay and enjoy the post race party.
•Fun run/walk: Although there are no awards for the fun run/walk, we hope that you have a great time!

All Children 13 & under will receive a participation award.

Age Categories: Top 3 Males & Females in each age category
•
Team Competition: Top 3 times for each team will be scored. Top 3 teams with the highest cumulative score will receive an award.
Post Race Party:
Please join us after the race and awards ceremony in the BEER GARDEN located behind Abom & Kutulakis, LLP. Beer will be provided by our sponsor, Wilsbach Distributors. Beer is included for each participant who is of legal age to consume alcohol. Wristbands will be given out with race packets. You MUST have your photo ID with you to get a wristband and to enter the beer garden.
Please be responsible, do not drink and drive.
Race Policies
•Absolutely no refunds, no exceptions.
•No transfers of entry to another person
•All participants must sign Waiver of Liability.
•The Employment Skills Center discourages the use of iPods and headphones as they can affect your ability to hear race instructions.
•The race will be held rain or shine. In the event the race is cancelled due to circumstances beyond the control of the organizers, entry fees will be viewed as a charitable donation to the Employment Skills Center.
•Although we love dogs, we ask that you please leave them home on race day.
